Nice idea. Is it doable in 30-60 days? Its a big island.

Sounds great! I love the idea of connecting the villages by small boat. This might be more logistically difficult to arrange if your group size is 25 people.

Lemurs and prehistoric botany. A sweaty jungle ride for sure. Lotsa dirt and mud? Is there vehicle support, if so do they get on the boat or drive around?

Very Interesting! Was in Madagascar a couple of years ago, and it would definitely be the way to see the country.
Few comments though on the NE portion. It would be a definite grind. Lots of Bridges get knocked out due to typhoons every season and the roads in some areas are all on the beach.
Here is some food for thought (Warning: I'm sure others have had better conditions, this was just our experience). We caught a Taxi-Brousse in Maroantsetra bound for Tamatave. I think the journey was to take 2 days (the taxi brousse was a Toyota Helix with a raised suspension system, filled with the usual African complement of 30 people). We made it Mananara after about 15 hours pretty bruised and battered. We decided to switch it up and walk for a few days instead. Went from Mananara to Antanambe in about 3 days. Some of the roughest roads I've seen in Sub-Saharan Africa - but some of the most spectacular scenery! In sections you'd have to single track down 2-3 feet wheel ruts! Fun fun!
