From the beaches of Barcelona we will cross the entire Iberian Peninsula finishing our journey in Lisbon, Portugal.  In stark contrast to the busyness of the coast we’ll head inland into amazingly quiet regions of Spain where the occasional moo of a cow may startle your ride.  The lingering heat of autumn will greet us as we move through areas that are truly off the beaten path.   That is until we reach Madrid of course, the epicenter of Spanish culture!  After 2 rest days we will continue on to the UNESCO designated town of Caceres.  From there it is a few more days of adventurous cycling in Spain and then Portugal where our eyes will meet the Atlantic coast!
