Many years ago we travelled extensively thru India on 3rd Class trains when the best seat available was usually on the overhead luggage rack. We covered about 10,000 miles thru the country and we remember well that the fare for the entire journey was $6 each. India was definitely a love/hate relationship for us at that time and we look forward to seeing it again from the uncrowded comfort of our bicycle seats.
We had a taste of TDA on the inaugural Silk Route tour when we cycled the soft portion from Istanbul to Kashgar under the superb leadership of Henry and Shanny and look forward to joining them again on the India adventure.
